| The Takoma Tigers started in 2005 as an effort to provide
advanced players in the Takoma
Neighborhood Youth Soccer (TPNYS) with the opportunity to play with their peers. |
I was born in football. Football is a fantastic and
intelligent game which teaches us to live together, how to share when you
are better than others. Football is an extraordinary education for life.

| Much of the TPNYS philosophy continues to drive what we do.
We are fundamentally NOT about winning or results. When we play well,
winning will come (and it does). Instead, we ARE about making sure
that the kids continue to have fun with their soccer, and that they grow and
learn from every game and practice.
We believe that soccer provides many lessons, and the ones
not only about soccer are by far the most valuable.
The Tigers now play in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), where
we play in the highly competitive Division 2. We welcome that challenge, but
will not be changing our approach to match other organizations with a
greater focus on results. |
